The Amish people usually live in harmony with the nature and use only natural remedies. You’ve probably heard about the Amish people, but have you ever heard of the Amish Black Salve (Black Drawing Salve)? This powerful remedy has been used for many different inflammatory and other health problems! The Black Salve is very effective and beneficial against infections, cysts, ulcers,ingrown nails and hair, cystic acne, can remove impurities, manure and unwanted objects like thorns and slinter of glass, it is also effective in spider bites as it brings out toxins and removes blemishes and dark spots.

Ingredients:
– 3 tbsp. of macerate of comfrey, calendula and plantain;
– 2 tsp of Shea butter;
– 2 tbsp. of coconut oil;
– 2 tbsp. of beeswax;
– 1 tsp of vitamin E oil;
– 2 tbsp. of activated carbon powder;
– 2 tbsp. of kaolin clay;
– 1 tbsp. of honey;
– 20 drops of essential oil of lavander.
How to prepare it: you will need tablespoon of each plant chopped into powder and half a cup of olive oil. You can prepare macerate in 2 ways (1st way is to put plants in the oil and let it stay in a sealed jar for 4 weeks and then strain; or heat the oil and herbs in a bowl with double bottom and leave the oil to cook on the weakest heat for 1 hour until it darkens and the stong smell appears, then strain). Mix the macerate, Shea butter, coconut oil, beeswax, vitamin E oil and honey in a jar which you previously put in a bowl with water. Heat the water until it boils and then cautiously mix all the ingredients with ninmetallic spoon until everything dissolves. Remove the mixture from the heat and add activated charcoal, akolin and lavender essential oil, and then mix well. Pour the balm into small jars and let it stay, keeping the containers well sealed.
How to use it: clean the injured area, then put the black salve to the wound or thorn and then cover it with gauze or a bandage.
